A New Year, New Goals

Often at the beginning of the year, you hear, “New Year, New You.” This is not the case. It is still you, however, this is a good time to make great new goals.

New Year is a great time to reflect on the previous year, and decide what it is that you want in the new year. For me, this means to make new goals. The goals need to be realistic. The goals need to be measurable. The goals need to fit what you want out of life. For me, I have had some very similar goals the last few years. These include hiking, reading, and continuing education. The name of this blog is Leiloni’s Life Lessons because I am always learning. Learning promotes brain cell connections, and improves mental health. If you would like to join me in any of these goals, you can join my groups on Facebook. With these groups, you can have the accountability that it may take in order to keep up with your own goals.

Reading Goals

Read (at least) 50 books in a year using your own tracking app, or chart. I use Goodreads, and made a visual chart to keep on my bookmark. Here is a copy of my chart from last year. My goal is to read 70 books in the year again.

Wellness Goals

Do one Yoga with Adriene video per day in the month of January. I post the video in this group every day. I also have the goal of completing the 300 hour teacher training for yoga this year.

Hiking is my happy place.

I also have the goal of completing 52 hikes in 2023. Choose a goal that works for you, and join the hiking group here:

Spiritual Goals

You can make a goal to read your core book this year. For me, that is the Bible. If you would like to join my group for reading the Bible in a year, you can join here:

Whatever your goals are, they are ones that have to work for you. You can join me in my goals, and make your own. Please comment on what your goals are for the new year.

Happy New Year!
