Making oregano oil

    Ingredients:

Some type of oil (I used olive oil, but have found since then that grapeseed oil, or coconut oil are more nutritious after being heated.)

Oregano leaves

Sanitized jar with a lid

Sunny window

Time (not to be confused with thyme)

   Method:

Boil water in a saucepan until rolling boil

While water is boiling chop or crush oregano and put in the jar with equal parts oil and put in the boiling water with the lid on.  Leave in for five to ten minutes.

Remove from water, and sit in a hot window for one to two weeks.  Shake the jar every few days. When done, store in a dark and cool place.

Pull out the oil to use when needed.  I have used my oregano oil for infected pimples, infected chickens, and for cuts.  Each time everything healed up just right.  After writing this post, I think that I need to make some more using some coconut oil instead.

    1. That is because you don’t see the chaos that is my daily life! I just have to find time here, and there. I just made sage infused honey yesterday to be used for cough syrup. It is what we have to do to take care of ourselves, and those we love!
