Use social media, don’t let it use you.
This is a quote that I made up while sitting with my feet in the river. I am embarking on a digital declutter at the moment. I am taking a break from apps on my phone. I am also working on the part of the Live Hard Challenge that is called Phase 1. As part of the challenge I am limiting myself to up to 30 minutes of social media time per day, and only on a computer. It is only day one, and am seeing the hold that technology has on me. There have been so many moments that I have thought of something to post, or to ask on Facebook. I have taken photos, and wanted to post them on Instagram. I can not count how many times that I have looked on my phone to check my notifications only to find that there are none. I am sitting by a very beautiful river on a sunny day, and I am thinking about scrolling. If anything, these thoughts just shine a the light on how much I need this. My brain needs this. My family needs this.
