The Smell of S’Mores is in the Air

There are many ways in which to make this time old tradition of s’mores.  Often when thinking of s’mores the most often thought of recipe is a piece of chocolate bar, and roasted marshmallow sandwiched in between two pieces of graham crackers.  But wait, there’s more!

Other Candies:  S’mores can be made with just about any other flat candy.  A new favorite is the peanut butter cup. Just substitute this candy, or any other candy that is easy to melt, and add the roasted marshmallow along with the graham crackers.

Not a fan of graham crackers, neither am I!  That is why I was in love when I saw this new creation.
Ingredients: angel food cake, nutella, strawberries, and then the roasted marshmallows! That is it, and nothing could be better.  We have substituted pound cake, and graham crackers, but Nutella, and strawberries are great new ingredient to s’mores.

Now that there are some new s’more recipes, here is a new tip that I have learned in this new s’mores season: Prepare the crackers ahead of time on a tray!  How often have you been around a campfire when a child hands you a hot, and melted steaming marshmallow, and asks you to help them and make a s’more (quite often when you have a roasting marshmallow on the end of your own stick.  The simple trick is just to have a tray of prepared graham crackers, pound cake, angel food cake, or even pop tarts ready to go, and ready for a melting marshmallow. There you have it. Comment below with your favorite type of campfire treat!

do the same with theirs. You’re never too old to enjoy making and eating S’mores.☺️

  2. Love these ideas! Maybe I won’t only be making S’mores for the kids this summer since I’m keen to try these ideas out for myself! 🙂
